Last updated: 22 August 2026.

Who is responsible for your information?

Sold & Collected is the operator of this website and acts as the controller of personal information submitted for a valuation or purchase enquiry. Privacy enquiries can be raised through the website quotation form by writing “privacy request” in the details box.

What we collect

We may collect your name, email address, telephone number, postcode and the information you provide about an asset. This can include registration or serial details, photographs, condition, ownership information, location and correspondence about a proposed sale.

Why we use it

We use this information to assess an enquiry, contact you, carry out ownership or finance checks where appropriate, plan inspection or collection, prevent fraud and keep records of any agreed transaction. The lawful bases are taking steps at your request before a contract, performing a contract, complying with legal obligations and our legitimate interests in operating a secure buying service.

Who we may share it with

Information is shared only where necessary, such as with email and website providers, vehicle or asset checking services, recovery and transport providers, professional advisers, finance providers involved in settlement, or authorities where legally required. We do not sell enquiry details as marketing leads.

How long we keep it

Unsuccessful or uncompleted enquiry records are kept only as long as reasonably necessary for follow-up, fraud prevention and legal claims. Completed transaction records may be kept for longer where tax, accounting, ownership or other legal requirements apply.

Your rights

Depending on the circumstances, you may ask for access, correction, deletion, restriction, objection or transfer of your personal information. You may also complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office. We may need to verify your identity before dealing with a request.

Security and cookies

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect information. The current website does not use advertising or behavioural tracking cookies. Essential hosting and security technologies may be used to deliver and protect the service.

We may update this notice as the service develops. The latest version and date will be displayed on this page.
